Boat moving?

We are introducing another hire boat in to our fleet from later on this year and at present it is down in Bath on the Kennet and Avon canal and it needs to come up to us so that we can get it ready for hire, now usually this would have been done over the winter months however this year because of the amount of rain that we have had the rivers have been closed, now that they are open again we need to get the boat moved, so we are giving some one the chance of a two week free holiday to move the boat, it needs to be done as soon as possible so if any one with experience fancies a couple of weeks cruising aboard a 65 foot boat then drop me an email to info@norburywharfltd.co.uk

Derek and Allyson turned up yesterday to collect Birmingham following the completion of the works that they asked us to do, which consisted of: docking for survey, blacking, repainting and replacement of engine room handrails. After settling themselves back in last night they headed off for Ellesmere Port this morning. Any one on the Shroppie will see quite a few old boats out and about during the week as there is a gathering at the Port this coming weekend.

Here's a shot of Derek steering Birmingham away. I must say that I do think she looks a treat and is a credit to everyone who has worked so hard on her over the past few weeks. If you see them on their travels be sure to give them a wave, and don't push them over into the trees!

Birmingham leaving Norbury Wharf this morning.

We had a dayboat out this morning. The trip boat also started today. It certainly has been a glorious day for it! Don't forget that the trip boat will be operating on both Sunday and Monday next week.

Best regards,

David.

competition time

Firstly sorry for the lack of postings recently by me, I have just not had enough time to give it my full attention and when that happens the blog lacks any decent content, coupled with the fact that nothing exciting has been going on, but its all starting to rev up nicely now, and with Easter just around the corner we are starting to see the first signs of things getting busy!

As the title suggests, its competition time, and we are giving away a total of 170 prizes totalling over £2000 worth in value, and its really simply to win, firstly you need to go to this website competition time and register your details, then like our Facebook page you then turn up at Norbury on the 27th April, upon arrival 40 lucky families will have been chosen and they will then have a free one hour cruise on our trip boat The Shropshire Star after that those lucky families will be entered in to a prize draw to win a weeks holiday for up to six people aboard our boat Phoebe for a week in May 2014, and finally we are giving away two Day boats as runner up prizes for a day out in May. This massive prize giveaway is being broadcast over the Signal radio station over the next two weeks so this is your chance to register now!

It's been a busy weekend here at Norbury. We had three hire boats out on Friday, six yesterday and two tomorrow - so we have been working frantically to get them all finished in time.

Best regards, David.
