Derek and Allyson turned up yesterday to collect Birmingham following the completion of the works that they asked us to do, which consisted of: docking for survey, blacking, repainting and replacement of engine room handrails. After settling themselves back in last night they headed off for Ellesmere Port this morning. Any one on the Shroppie will see quite a few old boats out and about during the week as there is a gathering at the Port this coming weekend.

Here's a shot of Derek steering Birmingham away. I must say that I do think she looks a treat and is a credit to everyone who has worked so hard on her over the past few weeks. If you see them on their travels be sure to give them a wave, and don't push them over into the trees!

Birmingham leaving Norbury Wharf this morning.

We had a dayboat out this morning. The trip boat also started today. It certainly has been a glorious day for it! Don't forget that the trip boat will be operating on both Sunday and Monday next week.

Best regards,

David.
