The weather

Since the drought was announced a couple of months ago we have experienced incredible amounts of rainfall and the weather has been pretty dire. I was somewhat sceptical when I overheard a customer claiming that it was going to be somewhat warmer during the coming week. I had to dash into the computer, load up an internet browser and check the five day forecast. Lo-and-behold it was confirmed that temperatures are going to soar up into the 20's from Tuesday. Let's hope that we can say good bye to this dreary spring and look forward to a proper summer!

Talking of the summer, we have still got availability on the dayboats. It's been a great advantage this year to be operating three as it gives us much more flexibility and availability.

There's been three dayboats out today and we've turned four hire boats around. Bernard and I have removed the old engine out of Windsor and dropped the new one in. Billy has been doing showrounds whilst Mick and Simon have been working on two private boats.

The girls have all been busy, cleaning, answering phones, looking after customers, cooking, doing laundry - all the normal jobs.

Best regards,

David.
